About the role
We are seeking our next Branch Manager for our Dubbo based branch! This role is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the branch within the trade-based HVAC wholesale environment. The role combines operational management, people leadership, financial accountability, and hands-on sales responsibilities to ensure sustainable growth and high levels of customer satisfaction.
You'll have full responsibility for branch operations including sales revenue, gross margin, expense control, stock management, safety compliance, customer service standards, and team performance. A key component of the role is maintaining strong relationships with existing trade customers—such as HVAC contractors, builders, and maintenance providers—while actively prospecting for new customers, projects, and commercial opportunities.
The Branch Manager is expected to operate both strategically and operationally, ensuring alignment with company objectives while remaining actively involved in daily branch activities, sales engagement, and customer interactions.
What does my day to day look like?
- Manage day-to-day branch operations to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
- Oversee order processing, dispatch, receiving, and warehouse functions
- Ensure stock accuracy, availability, and effective inventory control practices
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and organisation across the branch
- Monitor and improve operational processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste
- Develop and implement branch sales plans aligned with company growth targets
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers through regular engagement, site visits, and account management
- Prospect for new customers, contractors, builders, developers, and commercial projects
- Identify and pursue new revenue streams, product lines, and market opportunities
- Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing within delegated authority, and close sales
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform pricing and product strategies
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on promotions and campaigns
- Manage branch profit and loss performance including revenue, margins, and expenses
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, as directed
- Control branch expenditure and ensure cost-effective operations
- Monitor debtor levels and support credit control processes where required
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service
- Resolve escalated customer complaints or service issues promptly and professionally
- Build strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and key industry contacts
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities
